I am not sure on that, we have always had good luck with Fed Ex. In other words we have never had a problem. A lot of it depends on where you live too, we are in a very small town and even though Fed Ex goes through everday, it seems to take an extra day to get a package. We like using them because we can call and they will pick up at our house, we don't get service like that with UPS. We go thorough the post office only as a last resort. I hope you get your package.

FEDEX=DEFEX. They suck. I work in a hotel and schedules a FedEx Ground pickup for a guest. I specified that I had to use Ground because they only had a Ground shipping label. They scheduled it for Air and of course when they came in to pick it up they were rude and said, "This is a Ground shipping label, we can't take this, you'll have to call and reschedule." So the next morning when I got back to work there was a note left from my night shift clerk saying that I needed to reschedule the pick up for FedEx Ground. I called them again and said that I needed Ground shipping. I got off the phone and about 15 minutes later I got a phone call from FedEx. The woman said that she had just received a pick up order and wanted to verify that it wasn't the same package they had been scheduled to pick up the day before. I told her that yes, it was the same package. She got VERY rude and said, "We told you yesterday that we couldn't pick that package up and it had to shipped FedEx Ground, not Air." So I got rude back and told her that I had scheduled it for Ground both days and that the people at the office were idiots, maybe if they spoke English it would have helped. Good luck on getting your package delivered.

You call their 1-800 number (1.800.Go.FedEx), a quality assurance agent will look for your box, and will get an answer back by the next work day. Your best bet is to go to the hub yourself, and make the request in person in the morning around 10am. In some rare cases, they may even let you come in, and allow you to help them look, but this isn't official company procedure. When a package isn't delivered it can mean lots of things like maybe it was damaged, stolen, or missed by a driver. So, I suggest you going directly to their hub in the morning, but not early.

FedEx ground is possibly one of the worst things you can use to ship packages

Reliability is about the same as UPS. Depends on the p/u and delivery area for the most part.
