hmmmm...personally i think its the thought that counts...personally i think the idea of total monogamy as we have it thrust down our throats is a concept forced upon us solely by religion...many years ago people could commit to each other but were free to take on other lovers too male or female...didnt really have the stigma attatched to homo/bisexuality either......personally i think that we think too much about it and people so often worry themselves into a frenzy over something that is fairly natural...i dont know...i get the concept but just dont think it should be such a big deal...its like eating the same pasta dish over and over for the rest of your life cooked with the same ingredients in the same way...and being able to see and smell all the lovely foods of the world and not being able to touch them....
i actually think that the less pressure there is to be faithful and the more freedom you give people to be themselves the happier they will be where they are anyway...and no big pressures there for anyone...much smoother all round...
just my opinion...;0)

Monogamy allows for closeness between individuals and ensures that both people get the emotional fulfillment they need. No one has so much time and affection that they can supply the needs of many people at once, and honestly anyone sexually active with multiple people at once is just plain sleazy and hedonistic, male or female. At some time in their life they will eventually feel regretful because they will be alone or in a relationship with a person they settled for after they wasted the best years screwing everyone around them. Also, we know that std's are a problem for promiscuous people--HPV permeates condoms and causes 99.5% of all cervical cancers--bet they didnt tell you that in sex ed class when they told you to go out and have sex with whoever you like just use a condom. Now we have 18 year olds getting full hysterectomies! Yea girlies--you've come a long way baby!

all of us come into this international on my own. we can all flow out it an identical way. Having somebody to love that loves you top lower back - provides great meaning and happiness to the time between our commencing up and inevitable end. What makes monogamy so great? understanding, incredibly understanding, which you at the instant are not on my own.

Promiscuity leaves you at greater risk of contracting and passing on disease. I don't believe that mens egos could take it if their love interests were not monogamous. Same for most women.

Stability
Less chance of spreading/contracting infections
Usually more emotionally fulfilling
If you have children, it is more beneficial for them to grow up with parents who are in a stable relationship.
