I am thinking about getting my navel pierced and I was wondering if it turns out I don't like it or I don't want it after a while, if I take out the earring will the hole re-close or will I be stuck with a hole there forever? Because I'm pretty sure I want it now, but I probably won't want it there forever. Also, I'm not sure my parents will like me getting it done, does anyone have any advice on what to say to them for them to come to terms with me getting it done? Thanks!

I believe a navel piercing rejects more because it takes more of a beating, being at the waist and having it disturbed by clothing and whatnot. I had my nose pierced in July and I haven't had any problems, I don't think they reject much. Just watch out when you are drying your face or blowing your nose. You should be good. ;)

the hole will close if the your skin doesnt recognize the hole there for a long time.. it jus like an ear piercing but it hurts a lot more than that

Eventually it will close, but why do you want to get your belly button pierced? I mean if you think you won't have it that long then what's the point. Also belly button rings get snagged on a lot of things and aren't allowed during most sports and they are just a hassle and a waste of time. Don't go behind your parents back either and do it, that's stupid and you lose your trust with them.

Mine closed within 12 hours. I tried to fix it, but it didn't work.
