I have found that going direct to the Airline site is the easiest. I always try to fly on America Airlines so I go to www.aa.com. I book months in advance and get the best price. For example, I am going to Aruba in May. I booked my flight in November. R/t was $350 including taxes and Security sir charge. It is now up to $598. Booking early is the key to best prices.

i usually use CheapTickets.com but now i use a travel agent and they get me better price and also help me by phone if i have problem in foreign country.
if you make reservations by internet , no one will help you
