Also, are all gay males emotional or just some of them?

I don't think gay men are more emotional than straight men. Men are taught that expressing their positive emotions (love, tenderness, caring, etc.) make them weak and less masculine. Gay men have already broken the societal 'norms' by being gay so they just feel more free to express their emotions. And of course all gay males are not emotional. Using the word all when describing a group of people is rarely correct.

Is this before, or after the Corrie omnibus? But seriously - met some straight men who are also emotional...with some being so long before the 'new man' skank. Is it not summat to do with our upbringing - if Ma rules the roost, would she not insert all what she stands for into wee Tommy...a chance to possess maturity and thought for all emotions, and not just the ones he (and his schoolmates etc) could have handed down to him, lackadaisically by Da - and despite us being in the new millennium, it is surprising how many macho grunters still plod the earth (well...the UK anyhows).
Someone mentioned 'emotionally demonstrative' - oh aye...camp?

It's their feminine side. Some gay men are more expressive than others. There are masculine gay men and feminine gay men just like with gay women. It's still basically a boy/girl relationship except they are of mutual sex. Each person is different of course and I can only go by what I've observed.

I have my share of straight male friends. They're drama and they're as emotional as gay men are.

I think the difference is that straight men are usually more invested in their masculinity than gay men are.

it doesn't make a difference if your gay or not, people all have the same emotions. but strait people feel they have to hide their emotions or theyll look gay.
and some gay people have a lot more to deal with so the emotions go really high.
not all gays are emotional, just like with women

Everyone is emotional. Being human allows just to be emotional. Everyone shows emotion, they just show it differently. Males are given a sterotype that we must fit. Generally it's a simple as "Beer, sports, boobs."

There are emotional gay gays, emotional straight guys. There are women who are stoic, and women who weep at kleenex commercials. No, you can't generalize that all gay men are (insert stereotype here)

I'm pretty sure there are as many emotional straight guys as there are emotional gay/bi guys?
