I plan on buying an iPod, but have two major concerns in determining buying one.

1) I have a bunch of CD's, can I burn those CD's onto my iPod?
2) I have a bunch of old mp3's, can I burn those onto my iPod?

Thanks!

yes, you can do and the right term is sync to the ipod

1) you need to rip those song using itunes or other program into mp3 mode, so you can transfer it to the ipod, itunes will do it just fine, one thing just change in the preferences of it to rip in mp3 mode so you can use those on other devices

2) yes, you just add them to the itunes library and they will be sync automatically to the ipod

You can import the MP3 files and CDs in to iTunes. Then just create a playlist and export it to the iPod.

1) you would need a program to rip the cds, like nero burning rom (ripping= converting from cd format (.cda) to mp 3)

2) I think you can put your old mp3s on your iPod
