I'm pretty sure i hate federer. It's one thing to just keep winning and winning and never mixing it up, but its another thing to have every one of those matches be the most boring matches to watch. It's always straight sets, nothing's different. If anyone even gets close to stealing a set, it becomes the headline for the day. I'm so sick of it. Go retire.
And he has the most annoying style. When he plays, he's all relaxed, as if he's walking during every shot. His hair looks the same as it did when the match started, he hasn't sweat an ounce. It looks fake. I dont know, something about him really really bugs me.
i understand that he is obviously an amazing player. like he is a good humble person, but something about him i just can't stand. maybe it's the fact that no one else has a shot against him, and i feel like its unfair. most things are unfair, so i should complain because he worked hard to get himself where he is. But seriously, he isn't fun at all to watch. It's always the same old thing, "...and roger wins again. Surprise, surprise."

it's not just about depth. he brings tennis up to a whole new level, forcing the other players to improve along with him. would you rather the sport be stuck at normal, boring shots with the number 1 ranking changing once every few weeks or the way it is now; with one dominant player and beautiful, exquisite shots that seem impossible to do.
Federer makes the sport more interesting to watch just because he is so good. And he deserves every single title he wins - with sheer hard work and natural talent. Why does he fall to the ground or do all that when he wins a Grand Slam? Cos it's never completely certain if he WILL win. It's never 100%. there's always that chance that he might get upset.
Why dislike someone for doing his best? Roger Federer puts in his best effort into every match and his talent and hard work shines through. That's not to say the other players don't, it's just that he is too good. With Roger, the rest are forced to improve if they want to compete with him. Look at Gonzalez, Roddick and Blake - they may have massive head-to-head losses against Federer, but they play very very well against other players. And the fact that Roger has played them many times is part of the reason why they are doing so well. Of course their coaches and team makes a big difference, but because of Roger, these players are much better than they originally were.

No way! Fed is an amazing sports person! I don't think he's boring to watch at all. He's pretty much got everything going for him, and he doesn't just win against his opponent but he makes them play the way that he wants to play the game!
I don't think the crying is cliche at all, infact, he didn't cry when he won the aus open and when he was asked why he didnt in an interview after. He said he cant force the tears, they just happen. He's a very sincere person. And an amazing tennis player!

There is depth in the men's game, they just can't touch him right now. As for the cliche falling down, I bet he feels great relief because he doesn't take his wins for granted and he is under far more pressure from critics and players. people that want to see him fail than people care to acknowledge. It's no different a scenario than when Sampras, Agassi, McEnroe, Borg,Edberg etc etc were on the domination streaks. He works damn hard for his results and believe me Tony is no slacker, he would push him all the way when training. That's his job. Instead of criticizing Federer maybe players need to work as hard. You reap what you sow. People love to hate a champion, which is fine but credit where credit is due. He earns every bit of accolade and success he gets.

Wow someone dislikes Federer and for those reasons mind boggling. He doesn't always win. He doesn't know when his time is up so he enjoys every victory he has. I personally like Federer i think he's a good tennis player, a good role model, he's the complete package. I love the way he is so focused when he is played and yet when he is off court he seems so shy. I love these qualities in a man. Go Federer. ; )

i imagine merely from each and every of the cases he's received, he's gonna have haters. Any sport could have someone or some crew like that. Examples: lengthy island Yankees, l. a. Lakers, Tiger Woods, New England Patriots, the record is going on. various human beings hate on the crew/man or woman who wins, except its the crew/man or woman they prefer. on the challenge of Federer, i trust undesirable for Andy Roddick, at the same time as he honestly does properly at a tournament, he finally ends up assembly Federer and receives rocked.

Federer is a class guy who just happens to be so far ahead of anyone else playing in the world today. It's true they could just send him the trophies - he's gonna win them anyway but I can't dislike a great artist like him. And besides, he doesn't rag on other players, is respectful as he's demolishing them and is great for the sport.
As much as Tiger dominates golf, Federer is even more dominant in tennis. Closing in on one of the greatest players ever to swing a racket.

The worst moment in a professional men's tennis player’s life is not when he finds out Santa Claus does not exist. It’s when he finds out that Roger Federer does.
But then again, is that any reason to dislike (as you so mildly put it) the guy? Come on...

It's not his fault that there's no depth on the ATP. But I know what you mean. Nobody out there has "game" anymore. The ATP looks like junior tennis these days. Baseline hackers.
