the past few days i've been using an ovulation test.....it was neg, then neg, then yesterday "LH surge detected" (and the test said when the surge is detected you ovulate within 24-48 hrs).....i took a test again today and it was negative again....
my question is:
what day did i ovulate??? was it the day i got the pos. result??....
also:
i was kind of surprised that i only got a pos. result on ONE day...is that "normal"??
thanks for any help on this one!!

You most likely ovulated the day after the pos. so today you are probably are will probably soon ovulate. 1 day of pos. is perfectly normal--it's all most women see.

you do no longer ovulate once you're pregnant so which you does no longer get a surge on an ovulation stick once you're pregnant. An ovulation try isn't meant to attempt for being pregnant so your question style of does not make experience. that's an ovulation try, no longer a being pregnant try....2 completely separate tests!

You are probably ovulating today, or you might have yesterday.

It would be alot easier to detect your ovulation exactly if you took your Basal Body Temperature. Basically you get a basal thermometer at like CVS, and keep it by your bed. You set an alarm and take your temp at the same time every morning, before you get up to pee, drink anything, etc.

you could be ovulating now... LH is a surge and does not sustain (like HcG or progesterone).

I HIGHLY recommend *Fertile Focus* to detect ovulation. it is a small microscope (costs only USD 30) that you use to test your saliva to see if you are ovulating. those tests are very expensive, and the fertile focus can be used over and over again.

it has a 98% accuracy. and it can help you better understand your cycle-- i use it and track everything in Excel.

best of luck to you!
