people often forget that liquids are conductive and can destroy a laptop.
First remove the batteries to avoid risk in frying the chips due to short circuit of the spill.
second, let it dry for 1 week (just to be safe)
third, bring it to a laptop repair shop to have the keyboard replaced and tell them to clean up any liquid spill on the mainboard before turning it on.
Good luck!

Its the sugar in your tea that has done the damage. If you use alcohol to clean under the keys, with the laptop turned off of course. you might be able to clean up the problem areas. QTip, cotton swab, and rubbing alcohol.

The keys do come off but it is a pain to put them back on.

It's also a bad idea to keep that laptop powered on after you spilled a drink on it. Had you left it off and allowed it to air dry for a few days it may have been recoverable. However, since it was left on, the water has done its damage to the internal components.

You will need to take the key pad off and clean it. I would recommend taking it to a professional as there may be some more tea inside that could cause future damage

You could not drink around your laptop for a start.
My advise keep letting it dy out. Use a cotton bud to soak up left over from the keys.

take the D and the F key out then put the whole laptop in the washer. stick the keys under your pillow tonight, and tomorrow the owner of walmart will come to your door and give you a new one.

well my husband is an electronics technician and he says to open the laptop take some q-tips and rubbing alcohol and clean really good. If that doesn't work you may need to take it in to be repaired.
good luck!!!

I had that same problem with my old laptop. Your keyboard is probably ruined. You'll have to buy a new keyboard.
