The bubbles you ar seeing most likely come from a build up of unwanted stuff in the water.

A mud sucker will not eat your other fish's waste.

As to how to keep your fish happy and how to keep you tank clean, many many books and websites have been written on just that subject. It's not really possible to give you all the instructions you will need in an answer post, so I would suggest you do a web search about setting up an aquarium and about aquarium maintainance. A trip to your local bookstore would be a good idea as well. Spend a little time learning about your new hobby and it will sure pay off for you and you fish. You will all be much happier for it.

Best of luck with your new hobby!

If there is foam on the top of your tank im assuming you dont have a filter. Any bubbles that reach the top of your tank will eventually pop if they consist of only water and air. Bubbles that stay at the top are influenced by muck or oils on the surface.

To keep your fish happy the water needs to be CLEAN.

first of all DO NOT KEEP MUD SUCKERS AND TIGER BARBS TOGETHER THEY WILL FIGHT AND KILL EACH OTHER all you have to do to keep your fish happy is if you have a filter change at least 20 percent of the water weekly feed them 2 times a day because the thing with fish is the more you feed it the more it gets bigger and tiger barbs GET REALLY BIG!

you have to clean the tank once every week, mud suckers clean some but you have to clean the rest, put in a casle or some kind of stucture but boil it first.
