i need help with my laptop.?

i really need help with my ****** a## laptop because it will not start because it is put in DOS mode and it cannot find a file named HIMEM system i really need help someone..

When you start the system, put the CD for reinstallation for the system you are using. Then shut the laptop down. On it again and enter setup. Set the boot mode to CD - Rom first. Save it. And restart the laptop. Then the CD should run by itself.
(That's what I think should work. Work for me for around 5 - 6 times)
