I have a feeling that it was a lot of Wolfowitz's and Rumsfeld's fault. He was deputy Secretary of Defense, and he once claimed that Iraq was a threat to Israel. He was for the War before Bush started it. This is especially intriguing because of the fact that he is Jewish. If he is Jewish, and he thinks Israel was being threatened, wouldn' that make him want to make Bush want to invade Iraq more? And Rumsfeld was recommending it, also, right from the beginning.

SADAAM'S FAULT FOR VIOLATING 13 U.N. RESOLUTIONS AND COMMITTING GENOCIDE AGAINST 1 MILLION WOMEN AND CHILDREN. ANYWAY...

A "Republican" is best thought of as a patriotic American, highly educated, wealthy, successful business person, with traditional values, who often grew up lower middle-class or middle-class, but paid their own way through college, and now might be found as one of the 483 registered Republican CEOs from the Top 500 American companies.

A "Democrat" can be one or more of several degenerates:

1. Jesus-haters;
2. Inner-city criminals;
3. Men who sit while peeing, can't fight, and hate football, steak and feminine women (pretty much "Chicks with *****"--albeit small);
4. Women who have had AT LEAST one abortion and conceive their children on pool tables in corner bars;
5. Butch lesbians like that hideous, obese Rosie O'Donnell;
6. Flag burners;
7. People who blame America first;
8. Al Qaeda sympathizers;
9. Soldier-haters;
10. College professors with no real life experiences;
11. Women who didn't get enough attention from Daddy;
12. Guys with fathers who made them dress up like girls and dance at poker parties;
13. Guys with domineering mothers who wouldn't let them join football;
14. Guys with low testosterone levels;
15. Women with high testosterone levels;
16. Members of Dungeons & Dragons clubs who wore broken glasses in high school;
17. Hollywood directors who want to ghettoize America;
18. Pimps;
19. Prostitutes;
20. People who keep black Americans subservient and dependent, like the family pet, by throwing them an occasional bone;
21. District Attorneys and ghetto hookers/strippers from Durham, North Carolina;
22. People who hold Karl Marx, Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez in high esteem;
23. Ex-Presidents who got b*tch-slapped by the Ayotallah of Iran; and
24. Ex-Presidents who were impeached and lost their law license by disbarment for perjury and undermining the entire American judicial system because they were sex addicts who liked getting head from college girls.

DARN good try, but wasn't it Bush who said HE was the "decider"?

Or is he just too FLIP-FLOPPY to speak up against Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz, regarding this war? Is your Republican President so wimpy he would sacrifice all those soldiers' lives in Iraq, rather than stand up to Rumsfeld? Is THIS the Neo Con Excuse Du Jour?

Let me know please; I have a difficult time keeping track of the excuses.

Anarchist, in a Republican controlled Congress and a Republican led White House, you STILL insist the Democrats led the way into war? And are you referring to the war in Afghanistan (which of course everyone voted for, it made SENSE to go into Afghanistan; the Taliban were giving aid to the man who had attacked the WTC and the Pentagon. We supposedly deposed the Taliban (except WHOOPS theyre BACK) but still haven't found bin Laden, and Bush is quoted as saying he doesn't even think about bin Laden much anymore. Or do you mean the war in Iraq? MANY Democrats, some Republicans, the UN and the rest of the world said, "Don't Go In", the "Decider" instead told Saddam and the rest of the world exactly WHEN he would invade a sovereign nation, to remove nuiclear weapons they never had. I dont buy the "WMD" argument including chemical and biological weapons, because Bush and Co specifically said Saddam had or was trying to acquire NUCLEAR weapons, which we now know to be untrue, and there is strong evidence Bush, Cheney and Rumsefld knew it was bogus intel from the beginning, deciding to use this one piece of info to justify invading Iraq..

You forgot to mention the many Democrats that acted as cheerleaders leading up to the war. Even Hillary Clinton recently admitted that she did indeed have a part in starting the war. The fact of the matter is that this war was started by both the Republicans and the Democrats. When the vote for the war resolution hit the Senate floor, only one person voted against it.

Bush is as president ultimately responsible but it can't be denied he was played by more intelligent men with an agenda.The people you mentioned are all members of the PNAC and they wanted to invade Iraq way before 9/11.
Don't forget George W Bush had no foreign policy expirience comming into the white house so he had to listen to advisors.His administration was full of PNAC members

I think he was brave to take all the blame.
He was lied to about Saddam and his connection to Al-qaida and weapons of mass destruction.

Ahmad Chelabi who had dreams of becoming the next ruler of Iraq told the U.S. government all sorts of lies to get them to overthrow the Saddam Government.
Few months later U.S. found out that he was passing secrets to Iranians and the U.S. special forces raided his office, confiscated
all sorts of documents and then kicked him out of Iraq.

A lot of people lied to Bush, they all had their reasons, some for political power, some for military contracts $$$$$, some to raise the price of oil so they could make more $$$$. Some to get back at Saddam (Revenge).

Bush unfortunately fell for all these lies because he was given all these wrong informations by people closest to him.
