This is something thta is COMPLETELY up to you. But remember if HE /SHE is wiewing this... so is his/her friends. Wouldn't you prefer your child heres the correct story from you rather than the story their friends might tell them. I have always answered my children's quesions as they asked them. If they are asking that means it's time to explain. Kids nowadays are asking questions earlier and earlier, due to media.
When they started asking these types of questions I started researching sexual purity websites. In my opinion, as parents it is NECESSARY to educate our children on the importance of sexual purity. The websites below are just packed with information... Hope they help!

I just tell my kids "Oh that is something for grown up..." and they accept it.
When he stops accepting that answer then at that time he is probably old enough to hear at least a simple explanation. You can always say something brief when he is a little older. "That is used for mom's and dad's when they have private time... or when they kiss... or whatever."
By the age of 10 they take family living and then know about how their bodies will change and they know about the basics. You can then tell them that it is for protection from sexually transmitted diseases. They won't ask more lol. It is embarassing for them too. But if you are honest then if the time comes when he needs advice maybe he will come to you.
In the meantime, just dismiss it as something for adults.

HI,
I don,t think that it is the right time to tell the child. He will not understand about sex. but we can say that it is some thing which can help to prevent AIDS for elder people. It will help them to understand its value in preventing AIDS which will help them in future.

This is the trouble with TV and it's bad to have children watching it in this day and age, if you're unable to filter this stuff out, along with the gay stuff.

Tell him the truth.
It's better that he hear it from his parents, so that the information is accurate.
