I can think of at least 2 possibilities. Church seems spooky to some, and peer pressure. Thirdly, church seems outmoded and square to some. I felt all those things when I was much younger, also; then I became a Christian (at age 18) and everything changed. Church is cool now!

I know kids that love church and it's because they basically have church at home and they aren't distracted by mundane things. They are very open spiritually and since they're adventists, they don't believe in an afterlife without a resurrection.
