heres the deal my neighbors mom is in the army then she got cancer next the house she lives in burnt down she has 2 kids and they have almost no clothes for school what do you guys think i can do to help i am on student consil so i thought maybe a fund raiser like a bake sale how does that sound plz help :-)

Sounds like a very nice and thoughtful gesture to try and help someone less fortunate then yourself. You could perhaps talk with city counselors also and inform them of this situation and perhaps they can also jump on the bandwagon and try and arrange something to help out this family also. You as a student council member have a responsibility to help this family and hopefully the rest of the council will agree to your ideas and perhaps may also help you come up with other ideas of how to help out. If she is in the Army, contact one of your local tv stations about covering the story and set up a fund where people can donate to help her. Kudos to you for getting involved!!

that is a good idea, bu first talk to her, that way she doesn't get offended by it. b/c some people don't like help from other in situations like this. i know this 4 a fact b/c last year a bunch of condos burned down and my school raised money for the families but one family took offense to it.

Bake sale is great.You can also do a clothes drive. Asking for clothes for kids of their age. Once people see what your doing you find alot of other people helping out.Good job.

throw a dance marathon for the family.
a dance from 7pm to 7am.
my schoool did it for a kid with cancer, and we rasied over 500$
and considering the whole school has 600 ppl, we earned a lot.
