1. Talk to the teacher about the rule. See if they find it unfair and why or why not. See if you can enlist their help.
2. Write a letter and have the people in your grade sign it. Have one or two students bring it to the principal and calmy express your concern with the new rule. Ask why it has been implimented (sometimes there are good reasons for a rule!). Be prepared for what the principal will say and be ready to respond. Remember, to be CALM and NICE because that way everyone will listen and get along really well!
3. If the principal cannot defend his new rule, write a letter to the superintendent. Discuss the new rule and what the principal said was the reasoning behind it. State why it seems to be unfair to the students in your grade. Try and have letters from the parents of the students, and/or teachers that state that you believe the rule is unfair. Adults always help to make your case stronger.
4. If the superintendent still doesn't respond, go to your local paper and discuss the new rule. It might make a bit of a wave in your local community.

Seeing that this is posted in the Primary / Secondary section
I am assuming here that this in NOT something in a High School situation or I would be suggesting here that this go to the Student Council procedures !!
In THIS case-- items of this nature probably would be best attended to by taking them to the PTA (Parent / Teacher's Association) IF you have one active in your circumstance where ever you may be !!
The PTA is a Great Help in a lot of situations where there is a break down of communication within the school situation itself !!
You will usually find willing ears opened to the complaints and circumstances that get in the way of the free flowing education process--- and Superb advocates to take the matter before such administrative boards and the like that have the power to alter almost any situation within the school system on a local basis !!!
Hope this helps before it erupts into a full scale tot-sized free for all !!!

Depends on the rule.... while some parents and students find it unfair, others might find it fair. If i were you, i'd tell my parents and your friend's parents. Then they should meet up, discuss it, and if they don't agree then they can call, write, email, or request a meeting with the principal. If they refuse or won't listen to the parents, then contact the school board and superintendent.

Well, what we do is write a petition. Write down why you think the rule is unfair, then have everyone in your class sign it. Then give it to your principal. It usually works for our class.

write a letter to who ever is responsible for the rule and get a group of people who agree with you to write letters too, and maybe they will change thier mind about the rule.
