For example, what would've happened to the nine-tailed fox if Sasuke had killed Naruto? Would it have been released or would it have died with Naruto?

it says in the books that the nine-tailed fox's spirit will vanish along with naruto if naruto dies.

well i guess it will die because u know when jyria pushed naruto off the cliff to help him summon the big frog the fox said if naruto died he would die to but then again in that latest chapter in japan with the naruto manga the kyubbi told sasuke if naruto were to die he would kill sasuke sooooo can't tell u but i guess if naruto is going to die the fox steps in soo he doesn't die and naruto sooner or later naruto will unleash the whole fox soo i guess he might die if naruto dies

lolzer no real answer because masashi kishimoto i guess said twice that if he died the fox would escape and kill sasuke. during his training with jiraiya gamabunta also said that it would be bad if he died, but the akatsuki chapters show that when you kill some one the demon inside or the will of fire (in shikamrus case) will also die. so that leads to the idea of the highly skilled elite ninja of akatsuki are correct in my opinion. But there is no sayimng what will happen with wind element raseshuriken
