He's using his dad's last name right now...I am married now to a diffrent guy. And I want to change it since he doesn't care anymore to our baby. He doesn't support him...as in nothing or whatsoever.

yes u can...
you can get your current husband to adopt your son...but the son's father would have to sign over his rights first in order for your current husband to adopt the son.
but as for changing his name... yep it can be done legally...just get it done.

depends if your ex has something called parental responsibility he would of obtained that by getting it in court, or being married to you at the time of your childs birth.

if he does not have this right then you can change your childs name to your maiden name without even telling the father. Unfortunately to change his name to your married name you will need his fathers permission.

go to http://www.deedpoll.org.uk/ for all the info

you may change anyone's name at anytime, however, in most states if the father has not been proven to be unfit or has not been convicted of a felony or sex related crime you must get the fathers permission to do that. he is the natural father and he does have rights under the law.

yes, you can. But it has to be done legally & that means you have to have adoption papers written up and signed by the real father......i know if he forbids signing it ..than you can try it by going through courts and a judge....but i'm not 100% sure ...check govnt pages and look up name changes..

Sure you can but there is a bunch of legal stuff you have to do. Also, I don't think you can have the actual birth certificate changed so keep that in mind, one day your going to have to explain that to your child!

Not without either the fathers permission or your husband legally adopting the child.

Yes you can, but you will need to go to Family court. Get a good lawyer just in case he decides to fight you.

Yes, you can. You may want to seek out a paralegal to help you complete the necessary paperwork to submit to the courts and help you start the process.
