Yeah, definitely downplay. Yeah.

Also understate,minimize, and how about "tell the truth"???

Exaggerate means to overstate, embellish with extra details, sorta lie a little, so I'd say all of the above are antonyms. If you only need one, I'd go for downplay, since it seems more of an opposite, IMO.
