The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are 3 different entities with 3 different purposes yet they are all connected. It is kind of like how we view families. We are all separate individuals but without each one of us to fill the role of husband, wife, sibling the family wouldn't be complete. Without the Father or the Son or Holy Spirit the Holy Trinity would be incomplete. Hope that helps..a little.
