That's where you have been exposed to too many people who desperatly need to feel better than someone else, so they told you that you were worthless. It's poor self-image; lack of self-esteem.

It's in your power to change this. The only reason it exists now is that you assume that your value is determined by the comments or approval of you by others, instead of yourself. That kind of approval is peer esteem, and not in your control. Quit trying.

Self esteem has nothing to do with the opinions others have of you; only your opinion of yourself matters. Act in a way that you can always respect regardless of what they think, and soon you will be free of those feelings, and you will become stronger than all of them. Self-esteem is a castle earned by actions and decisions, built one brick at a time.

No, a personality disorder is a psychological diagnosis. They are found in the DSM IV (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental disorders), and there are a set of criteria laid out to aid the Psychiatrist in making a definitive diagnosis. Types of personality disorders include: Borderline personality disorder (this is what Winona Ryder's character in girl interrupted had), Antisocial personality disorder (psychopathic killers are often diagnosed as this), and Narcissistic personality disorder. These are serious psychological illnesses, that prevent people from living normal lives, and often lead to them being institutionalized. The feelings that you describe sound like depression, if possible seek help from a mental health professional who may prescribe an antidepressant or some therapy.

There isn't a personality disorder that would match this description..not enough info.

However, what you are describing does sound like one of the symptoms/indicators of major depressive disorder.
