my doctor put me on progesterone, prometrium, to help induce my period.its been a little more than 7 weeks since i had one. she gave me 2 pills for 5 days and i thought she said it would take a couple days for my period to come, but that was on wednesday. does anyone have any clues on when i should expect this.
thanks...i took a pregnancy test before i started taking the pills and it was negative, so i am not pregnant. i am trying to get this over with, so we can start ttc...

I have taken it before and it takes me about 5 to 7 days from the last pill to have a period.

I took prometrium to start my period too and it took about a week before I started my period. My doctor gave me six pills though. I went 3 months without my period.

personally, i use natural progesterone cream. used it for 21 days, stopped, started to menstruate shortly after. then i waited until day 12 of my cycle to use it again, and applied it from days 12 to 26.

after about 7 months, i am to a 28 day cycle. and from the studies that i have read natural progesterone seems to synthesize better in the body.

just my experiences with progesterone. i have PCOS and i am doing everything in my power to become fertile, and natural progesterone is part of my strategy.
