The date on the doll, is when the trademark was issued, not the year the doll was on the market. To find the actual year of manufacture check this chart on www.dollreference.com

Then once you've determined what issue she is, check the completed listings on ebay to see how much she's currently selling for, and remember that condition is very important in the pricing!

There are a lot of Barbie dolls marked 1966 because they used the same body mold. Like the first poster suggested, go to Ebay and find one that looks like your doll and see what the going rate is. The value varies greatly on the condition of the doll as well.

I have loads of vintage barbes from 1966. If I had a picture I could help you out. You might search for vintage barbies too, and go to yahoo groups, there is a vintage barbie group and I know that several members know about pricing.

Check eBay to see anyone paid the highest price for this doll or visit to your nearest Antique Road Show in near future

Ken dolls think they are priceless, he particularly appreciates those made before 1991 that have been well cared for and reciprocate his feelings.

I once was holding the shop for my uncle who sold 2nd-hand stuff on a market - a guy came up and asked me the prices of the bikes my uncle was selling - he pointed at one bike and to his question I answered "50 guilders" (at the time that was about 25 dollars) - he pointed at another one and I said "30 guilders" - then he pointed at a 3rd bike "And how much is that one?" - my answer: "1000 guilders." He said "WHAT?!?!?!" - I said "Yeah, that's MY bike and I still have to get home."
