The band has announced a summer tour with DLR however, Eddie's kid will be replacing Michael Anthony. I've seen VH in concert 4 times (with Hagar) and I can't imagine seeing them without MA - but would love to see DLR with them!

MA is probably sick of the whining Van Halen brothers, I'm shocked he put up with them for as long as he has. Love their music, but damn..And the DLR tour probably won't happen either, I'm sure they will get into it and break up before the first date of the tour. I seen Sammy 3 times over the years since he left VH and it's always a great time. One of those times was when him and Roth went on tour together, and Sam kicked his tail.Dave couldn't sing to save his life and would start HUMMING a lot of the words.God it sucked..

YESSSS! They are back. Never thought I would see the day. Eddie VanHalen is a true family man. You know that he and Valerie split and they both still live on the same property but in different homes. Yes very weird that MA will not be with them.

TMZ.com reports that VAN HALEN has officially hired 15-year-old Wolfgang Van Halen — the son of guitarist Eddie Van Halen and estranged wife Valerie Bertinelli, and nephew of drummer Alex Van Halen — as the new bassist for the band.

Wolfgang replaces longtime bassist Michael Anthony, who left the band earlier this year. VAN HALEN spokesperson Janie Liszewski tells TMZ.com that Wolfgang, known as "Wolfie," has already joined his dad and uncle for rehearsals in the studio. Wolfie played dates with his father during the band's 2004 tour, and the song "316" on 1991's "For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge" was named for Wolfie's birth date that same year.

According to TMZ.com, the band is still without a lead singer, despite rumors that David Lee Roth might rejoin.

He was probably tired of the circus that Van Halen had become. That's great that David Lee Roth is rejoining the band, but that's something that should have happened years ago. I've seen them a couple of times with Sammy, too (second row, center stage), but it wasn't the same. It would be interesting to see but I think they will be just a shell of what they used to be.

in all likelihood because he became ill and fed up in having to positioned up with 30 years of David Lee Roth's tacky antics and Sammy Hagar's tacky problematical-guy B.S. hello, are you able to blame him??
