Currently I have a virgin mobile prepaid. I spend around 20-40, every 2 montsh on it. I don't talk that much on. Mostly for calling home, and getting in touch with other students when I need to do a project.

I'm in college, and have a little work study job. That pays a little cash.
So should I get a real cellphone?

A contract plan will not offer you rates as cheap as $10/mo. so if you're happy with what you got, then why change? Unless you need to use more minutes or could take advantage of free nights and weekends. Prepaid is really the way to go for very occaisional cell phone users. Contracts are good for people who use the phone more. If it's worth it to you to have more minutes to work with and free nights and weekends then you'll be better off with a contract plan but if you'd only use what you use now, stick with what you've got or another prepaid provider.
