I have a message on the display screen saying there is a paper jam, but there is no paper in it. I've cleaned it in case dust was obstructing it, cleaned the print heads as the instruction book say's, everything. But it still says there's a paper jam. Any ideas?

sometimes you just have to reset the whole thing to get it to work. try disconnecting the USB cable, unplug the power cord. Wait 1 minute. Connect everything up again and turn it on. This is what I do with my hp printer when it says paper jam (and there is no paper jam), and it works everytime.

You need to find the switch for a paper jam and try that. If it still reads that there is a jam you then need to check the rollers for a small piece of paper. The tiniest bit can cause a jam. Does it have a reset button or combination of buttons for reset if so use it/them. Good luck, hope this has been helpful.

Open the printer up fully, all slots that can be opened should be opened. Then check for paper you might of missed, then close it up and try it. Some printers require you to open up every single panel and slot to recoognize that you are fixing it, then after finding the problem or seeing nothing is wrong just close it up and try to print a test page (don't forget the paper).

As I just bought my first printer yesterday, I was very interested in your question, because I may have the same problem one day. After reading your Answers first, I see you've gotten some very good advise, and it just gives me one more reason to believe "Yahoo Answers" is a really great and informative site. As far as my Answer goes, I believe I too, would have done the "disconnect" and then "reconnect" answer that was given.

Just switch the whole thing off - even at the mains. Start again - it should run fine. I have the same printer and have had exactly the same problem. Good luck
