Yes, if you have a AGP slot get a ATI 1950xt, and if you run PCI-E get either the 1950 or a NVidia 8800...

Might want to look in CPU and memory upgrades too, but video cards help the most. Other things that help FPS is a SATA harddrive and disk defrag believe it or not...

first you look at the one you have, if its a 256 video card then yea you might want to get a new one. If its a 512 or higher then you do not need a new card, what you need is a driver. a driver is a program that allows the computer to use the device to its fullest potential. but if you haven't modded the computer yourself then you probably do need a video card. I would suggest a nVIDIA Geforce graphics card. they work really well but make sure it says 512 RAM or higher on it or it won't help your problem.

most powerful graphics card you can afford is the one reccomended...look for onboard memory and some have their own processors as well......it is also a good idea to check your current memory for how much you have and wether it may be a better idea to just upgrade the overall memory...check the requirments for the game and the reccomended hardware and see if your pc matches those, then you'll have a better idea of which direction to go, whether to get more ram, upgrade the video card, upgrade the processor, allocate more virtual memory, or turn off background programs, and if you should just change the settings of the game itself.
