Pot = much less harmful than alcohol, and while bad for you (it is smoking after all) it should be decriminalized and let smokers grow enough for their own use, like how you can make so much home made wine legally. That would stop the drug trafficking from mexico and canada, and immediately take the crime incentive out of it. Nothing wrong with using pot, humans have been doing that and like peyote for centuries. It's normal to do, just part of our political system that it's illegal.

Well, too many uninformed people think that Pot is a gateway drug: that you go from weed to meth to Crack like it's pre-ordained.
Hell, I smoked in Uni, Grad School, Post Grad and the odd time here as a Prof.
As a matter of fact, I torched one up with a Nobel Laureate a few months ago.
Cannibus was made illegal mostly through the lobbying of cotton growers, who saw hemp as a threat to their fortunes.

Marijuana should be legal in every state and around the world. Our environment would not be so fast paced any more which would be great. No seriously--no person wraps themselves around a tree or crashes into a suv with a family inside when smoking weed. It is much better to smoke than to drink because it does not numb you like alcohol and other drugs. Great question THANKS.

Legalize it. I've been around drinkers and pot smokers. Since I do neither, I'm always the designated baby-sitter. I hate babysitting drinkers. They get viloent. They can't control themselves. They puke. They pee at inappropriate times. Pot smokers on the other hand are never a problem. They're easy to deal with because they're either mellow or happy. At worst, you'll have to make a late night munchies run.

You are very correct most americans really know nothing about the plant, all the know is government lies, spread to control the minorities. It is a shame we are so caught up chasing pot heads we ignore real problems until they are to far gone to stop. My city is over run with pharm drugs but the police stalk adults for smoking pot while the kids are shooting up oxy. You can kill a kid in america, smoke death sticks biut eat a hash browie and its off to jail.
I HOPE ONE DAY PEOPLE REALIZE THE GOVERNMENT LIES TO US ALL AND NOT JUST ABOUT THE GREAT CANNIBIS PLANT

Society has deemed 'smoke' as being the gate way to other drugs. i feel that it is a choice. My view is that as long as you do not hurt others while life is being explored, I have no problem. If it interferes with the progression of life, then an addition is the demon.

As long as it's regulated, I don't see a problem with legalisation. It's got to be regulated, I mean I don't want my kids bus driver taking him to school if he/she is stoned, but after hours or weekends, I don't care what people do.

yeah, why alcohol is legal and pot isn't?! it should be every individual's choice to get drunk, to get high or not. we are responsible for our actions. i don't care for others telling me what i can and cannot do. i can decide for myself, thank you very much

I agree. I would much rather be around someone who has smoked weed than someone who is drunk.
