how to create yor own website?

how much will it cost me an how long will it take to create this website. see i really want to create a chrisitian web site for us teens something we can relate too like relationship, school problem,house issuses,an i also want a music section for all the holy hiphop artist like cantonjones,crossmovement records an more so please help me out.

Actually, you can create one relatively cheaply. If you don't care about having banner ads and such, you can even get free web hosting. Generally, your costs are this:

1. Domain name registration.
2. Web hosting.
3. Coding of your website.

If you want to register your domain name, you're going to have to go to a domain name registrar. Here is a link to a list sponsored by InterNIC:

Then, once you've got the name registered, you need some place to put the files onto the internet. If you host it yourself, you can do this for (relatively) free - but, the cost is, you'll probably need to pay a bit extra for a static IP address, and you need to learn how to run a web server. Otherwise, there are a bazillion web hosting services you can look up on google.

Finally, you'll need to code the website. You can either do this yourself for free, with the cost being potentially buggy/non-aesthetic websites, or you can pay for it. Service costs vary depending on what you want to do. Personally, if you have the time to learn it, I would learn to code it yourself. The best resource I've found is:

Start with HTML, then CSS, then Javascript, and then if you want to do dynamic websites that can interact with databases and such, you're going to have to learn a language like PHP, Java, ASP, or CGI/Perl scripting.
