In late June 2006, several reports indicated that Depp has joined the cast of the forthcoming science fiction-action film, I Am Legend, which also stars Will Smith and was due to begin filming in September of 2006, [18] although this has since been proven to be a false rumour. He has also denied rumours that he has been offered to play either musician Michael Hutchence[19] or writer Edgar Allan Poe in upcoming film biographies,[12] although it has been confirmed that he will portray Paul Kemp, the main character in a film version of writer Hunter S. Thompson's book, The Rum Diary.[11]
He will next play Sweeney Todd in Tim Burton's film adaptation of the musical Sweeney Todd.[20]
He has shown interest in playing the role of Syd Barrett in a future biopic of the reclusive former Pink Floyd frontman's life.[21]
His production company has picked up the rights to the story of former Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko, and he may be interested in starring in the film as well.[22]
He is also rumoured to be in line to play Freddie Mercury in a biopic of his life sometime in 2007.

Hopefully another Pirates of the Carribean movie b/c they can't just leave us hanging with that ending I mean come on now. They have to get a new ship sail with the old captain find Jack Sparrow. He has to do another one even though the director looked like he looked gay and drunk tht's okay thts what Jack is suppose to look like right???
