You won't need to tell her. Just go to the nearest chemists and get a bottle of stuff for head lice - you'll probably need it yourself if you've had any kind of contact with her

Your friend should already know that she has head lice, you can buy something over the counter to get this sorted out within hours. Talk about the subject with her she may be unaware that you know and you can help her to get the problem dealt with. Make a joke of it a lot of people get head lice, children pick it up from school. etc. My daughter in law is always catching them as she is a school teacher.

well if she doesnt know tell her. She has two options she can go to a pharmacy and get headlice solution if u are in the uk Derbac or hederin are the best. She also will need a headlice comb. Or she can do the conditioner method which is when u apply conditioner to ur hair and then comb it through with a headlice comb. She will need to do this over a few days until she no longer has any lice of eggs.

Believe me, she already knows.
It's not such a drastic thing, you just go to the grocery store, or drugstore in America, and you can buy special shampoos without a perscription from the doctor.
And in Europe too, ..just buy the shampoo and use it.... and use it again in a few days. Follow the directions.
In the last 30 years, EVERYBODY has had head lice or body lice, or THE CRABS at least once.
In some schools it is an epidemic, and all the children's parents are alerted at the same time.
good luck, welcome to "the club".

If she doesnt already realise she has lice (and I would be amazed if she didn't) Then just tell her to get some medicated lice shampoo.Head lice are nothing to be embarresed about they are quite common and contrary to popular belief usually only inhabit clean hair.

head lice can become immune to chemical shampoos. The best thing to do is get one of the nit combs tell her to smother her hair in conditioner and run the comb through until it is clear. If she does this for a couple of days they will disappear.

get them treated
just say to her " look, i dont mean to be rude but you have something crawling in your hair, " then look at her and say "it kinda looks like a cross between a spider and something else, but its too small to be a spider i think you may have head lice, but dont worry i wont tell anyone if you have, i value your freindship too much , nobody will ever know"
of course dont tell her that you posted across the net i think she may be slightly peed off ~!!!!~

my daughter had a problem a while ago and no lotions would work as they seem to be immune to them... dry conditioning her hair then combing with a nit comb should do the trick.. while the conditioner is still in her hair.. the thing that has worked the best for my daughter is a 'nitty gritty comb' which i bought off the net for £10 .. hardly ever has them now and when she does they are gone in a few days after combing through every night with nitty gritty comb... hope it helps.
as for telling her if shes a close friend she would appreciate you telling her... better than someone who doesnt like her finding out and taking mickey..good luck
