I know it is very difficult to enter the U.S. legally right now, but how difficult is it to move from the U.S. to a western European country?

During the Clinton Administration I considered emigrating from the US. I spoke to the Irish embassy about the possibility of applying for citizenship. They basically told me to get lost. There are all sorts of Rumanians and other people from Eastern Europe taking advantage of the EU's free movement of peoples to go to Western Europe. It doesn't leave a lot of room for the entry of outsiders from the hated USA.

Must be, they are pouring in from the former eastern bloc countries, Russia, and Turkey. Europe won't be Europe soon... as the Netherlands.
