If so, how can it be done? I purchased a Razr phone for a friend of mine, with the understanding that if they moved, I got the phone back. Well, they moved and I have no phone. The only thing I have found out from Cingular, is that the phone number has been changed, but I have the SIM and IMEI numbers for the phone. What can I do?

Yes... better yet every cell phone broadcasts this information so it can be found by the towers and computers.

Some people have found it quite handy to have scanners that can pick this up. Then they burn a new simcard with your IMEI and phone number and call on your dime. That is why some companies now require the user to enter a PIN number each and everytime they place a phone call.
