In particular, my boys school shirts and some of my blouses. They are a variety of colors and after a while, the yellow turns dark grey. Some of these items aren't bleached because of they're color. Thanks

It sounds like you have a hard water problem ie mineral deposits. If you wanted to invest the money you should look into getting a water softner.

We had the same problem. If I remember corectly the yellow is a dark yellow, bordering on a brownish color? It turned out the washer was leaking an oil. I'd call a repair person out. The problem won't go away, it has to be fixed. Even bleaching the clothes, if you could, wouldn't take care of the stains.

Sounds like a hardwater problem to me too.... Do you live out in the country? My parents had the same problem until they finally got city water (well water has lots of minerals).

Check the inside of your washer. You may have some rusting areas. It will leave stains on your clothes.
