There have been so many different ones, but which one do you prefer? For me, I like the 2006 BBC one the best.

i agree BBC version.

My favorite has always been the one starring Susannah York and George C. Scott. I think the soundtrack complimented the movie perfectly and Susannah York as Jane Eyre was perfect casting. I have just seen the newest version on Masterpiece Theatre and found it very enjoyable also.

Some old black and white like Jane Eyre to me can never be remade. Jane Eyre is one. Sorry. That,s my ans.

The 1997 A&E version with Ciran Hinds and Samantha Morton. Hands down. Hard to find though. Netflix has it.

I like the 1944 classic, with Orson Welles and Joan Fontaine.

I have to stay with Orson Wells out of loyalty. I wasn't born when they made it but I was alive when I first watched it for myself!!
