My daughter is three months old and seems to "fake cry" when she wants attention. Sometimes I will be doing something like making dinner and she is lying in the next room when I suddenly hear her shout. I rush over and as soon as she sees my face, she smiles at me. Is she learning how to manipulate already?

yep. she's a fast learner. babies will use you becasue they don't want to be alone so since you jump to her rescue every time she whimpers she will do it until you stop. good luck!!! 18 years to go!!

Shes not fake crying she just wants some attention. Babies need constant stimulation and you can only leave her in her swing, bouncer, etc. for so long before shes sick of it and wants some interaction with you.
Dont let it drive you crazy though cause in reality you can be at her becking call everytime she cries. If you have something you need to do and you know there is nothing wrong with her. Dont feel bad about letting her cry for a little bit.

babies learn to fake cry very really in life especially if his or her parents come running every time they make a peep. You will learn what a real cry and a fake cry is if they stop crying the minute they see you or you pick them up then you know its a fake cry...if there is tears present then that is the real thing and something is wrong...and if they don't stop when you enter the room or pick them up....you are right on how to manipulate she is a very smart little girl. I have a one year little girl and a four year old boy.....and many nieces and nephews

Babies at this age are not able of high enough thought processes to "manipulate" anything. At her age attention and being held *IS* a *NEED*. My suggestion would be to get a baby sling or front carrier. That way baby is happy because she is with you and you can still use both hands to get things done. Trust me when I say that "babywearing" is a LIFESAVER lol.

I dont think shes fake crying... I think your daughter is just sad and starts crying because shes lonely, and when you appear she all of a sudden thinks 'hey! Your hear to make me not lonely anymore! *smile*'

i like Collin Rhys and Byron Isaac; the others would desire to be too lots with the final call. If no longer those 2, i might probable flow with Patrick Isaac, yet that's purely me. :] the two way, have relaxing, and choose properly! ;]

Sadly, she has learned to manipualte you. You might be able to slow it by letting her be near you when you are doing things. She may just want to know you are there too.
