I'm afraid that if we start dating, it will mess up our friendship and I don't want to lose him as a friend. I just got out of an engagement, but he's been pursuing me since a couple months before I broke up with my fiance. I'm starting to like him even more than I did before I broke up with my ex. I don't want to hurt him if we ever do start dating. Give me some suggestions people.

I think you are right. Just stay friends. If you really don't feel that way about him yet. Then later on down the line if your feelings change then let him know. But it's really hard to go back to being friends. Good Luck to you.

Must be nice to have so many possibilities that you can let one slide.
Totally up to you...That said, the guy DOES NOT think of you as a friend, he has just been playing the friend angle all this time waiting for you to become available. Trust me on this one. So don't think you might mess up a real friendship. You won't lose a friend, you will just loose a player from off the bench.

You can do 1 thing just go on with him for some days and if you find him of your kind you can surely continue but if not talk to him politely and try to explain him that things going on between them are not right may be this will work out something.

You should give it a shot. Maybe he's the one your REALY want to spend your life with. You wount lose him as a friend if it dosent go well, I'll git better becouse you know more about him, and vise versa. Life dosent go on forever, live now.

If you ever date him and and emotional attachments are formed
then you will be lovers, not friends..
You can remain as friends & lovers but if you break-up, you
can probably never go back to just friends..
Why not go ahead and start dating him and become intimate ?
