The mathematical point makes mathematics absurd and meaningless . The mathematical point is a non dimentional nothing and as such it dont exist. Calculus sums all these points-that dont exist -along aline to give something -its leangth But this is absurd and self-contradictory so calculus is and absurd meaningless method -which gives resulkts -but is in fact built on an imposiblity ie suming nothings That is why this author says mathematics is meaningless What do you think

The author clearly doesn't understand calculus. And on top of that, saying that calculus is the foundation of all mathematics is insane (he says there is some problem with calculus and then, from this, claims that mathematics is meaningless). Calculus, integration is what he is referring to in particular to give curve lengths, does *not* sum up points. Just like everything else in calculus, it is a limiting process -- finite sums of positive lengths are added at each stage to give approximations to the final answer. One amusing *interpretation* of this process that in the end it seems like we are adding all these width-less points to get a positive length (when the limiting process gives a result, at least), but that is clearly not what's really happening when you have more than a superficial knowledge of what's going on.

In fact, this limiting process is an amazing idea that makes sense of the intuitive notion "I want to find the length of something, so I measure it's constituent pieces and add them up." As noted, the pieces have no length so you can't do this directly. The brilliance of calculus is finding a process to *make* sense of this intuition.

Try to research your author, by the way. One should always be cautious of an "author" that doesn't even come up on a Google search really... anyone can get a vendor's license and start printing/selling books, let alone writing e-books. Look at your own link, it is just a bit odd that he is the principle author on every book there...

a million. The mathematical factor is a non dimentional no longer something and as such it dont exist. the factor of using a factor (*smile*) in arithmetic is that it represents some thing that does exist. as an occasion, evaluate the "factor" the place 2 strains intersect. that's authentic and might desire to be the answer to an equation such by way of fact the "factor" on your shuttle while your automobile runs out of gas. which could be an somewhat authentic evaluate your shuttle. 2. Calculus sums a majority of those factors-that dont exist -alongside aline to offer some thing -its leangth yet it extremely is absurd and self-contradictory so calculus is and absurd meaningless approach. truthfully, i think of you're conversing 0 length integrals, yet that's no longer what calculus is conversing approximately. consequently calculus is conversing approximately what happens once you're making calculations using many line segments that are shrinking in length in the direction of 0. It does not say that they attain 0 length yet treats them as theory they are exceedingly much there. drawing close a shrink of 0 isn't the comparable as 0.
