My jacket has fur trim but I want to make sure its fake. On the tag, it says 100% acrylic fur. Does this mean that the fur is fake?

Yes, it means the fur is fake. Which is not necessarily a bad thing, especially if the jacket is nice.
Nowadays, it's hard to tell the 'real' from the 'knock-off.' But if it's a real inexpensive coat, it will not only be easy to tell it's fake fur, but it'll itch and the fur may fall out.

Jackets don't have a sexual preference. I do like that jacket though, if that's what you mean. =) If you like it, then you should wear it whether or not people think it's 'gay'. Some people will like fur trimmed jackets, some won't. That's just the way of things.

Yes, acrylic is a synthetic and is not real fur. So, if you are a animal lover or if it is illegal to use a real fur in your country, go ahead. No ethical or legal problems are involved with acrylic (except the pollution caused by chemical industries).

yea, its faux fur / synthetic/ not real. it's still a good thing - animal rights, u know... lol!
as long as it looks nice & the price is right, no big deal about it. most fur trim are acrylic anyways, just dont get drunk & smoke w/ it - it could burn easily (just kidding!).
im sure its pretty, enjoy your fur! if a friend asks u, tell her it's faux ("foe") fur - she wont know that it means fake if shes not french.

it means that no animal was harmed in the making of the jacket. wear it proudly knowing that you are not one of the people using poor animals for fashion. Acrylic means a man made fibre, imitation fur.
