I used to think I knew myself entirely. More and more, I see that I'm always changing, and I can't possibly know exactly who I am and where I am in life.
Life is not a constant, and is, basically, evolution. You change as you go through life. You may know yourself one second, then completely amaze yourself the next. I find it best to know that I am a certain person at any given time, know what are my best character traits, know my thoughts and patterns. But also leave room for improvement and not be disappointed if I fail myself.
The older I get, the more I believe in the phrase "Life's a journey, not a destination."

Absolutely. I am a man who is unapologetically and brutally honest. I am a man who believes in committing random acts of senseless kindness. I am a man who believes children should be seen AND heard AND believed.
My only wish is that the world could actually live in peace, and for the horrendous amount of pressure put on people to be better than the next guy to dissipate.
When I look into the mirror, I see someone who has endured the ills of the world and come through them not unscathed, but better off for the scars.

Let's see... my name is Amanda. I am 18 and I will be attending college in the fall. My goal in life is to save the world. Not like Jesus, but more like Superman. I can't really pull it off, so I'll come as close to it as possible by portraying a superhero in a film. When I look in the mirror, I see a child of God's creation who is trying to make sense of it all.

I am Essence. (not reavealing my real name) I'm a 12, almost 13-year old who is planning on studying law in college. When I look in the mirror, I look at someone who's desperate. Desperate for what? I'm not really sure. I guess anything. The only positive thing I guess I can say about me is that I'm smart. Even though, I'm very stubborn and if you wrong me the wrong way you get knocked down.

Yes. I'm looking at the person who dresses up in black lace with combat boots and laps up the stares and attention she gets. I'm the person who loves to go into the mosh pit and horse-kick the 'xtream moshers' in my 4-inch New Rocks. I'm the person who can sometimes be very lazy, has a fierce sense of what music is good and crap, a bad temper when I lose it (mostly at my mother), the insecurities that eat away at my insides about how broke I am and how much weight I've gained or lost but will make me stronger, the generosity to try and give away as much of my body as I can (blood, bone marrow, organs etc), the burning desire to be as famous as I possibly can and the passion to take a bullet for the one I love.
All of this came to me when I left high school. Teenage girls can be such bitches sometimes.

I don't think so. When I look into the mirror I'm kind of startled (not because I'm really pretty or really ugly or something) I feel surprised that's me. Sometimes when I think of my name i get the same feeling.

When I look in the mirror I see some crazy monkey who is trying to be me, copying me... I make faces at it to mock it and spite it, but it still is a pest!

i know who iam, i know im a strong person, i know whta im capable of acheiving in this world and i intend to use it for the benefit of others, but sometimes wen i luk in the mirror i dont know who exactly im looking at sometimes, im struggling with a dilema at the mo- whether im Bi-sexual or not. and its confusing, but i think because we change, we never truely understand ourselves!, we never really grasp our own personality and what makes us tick. that is why sometimes, you think, i dont know who you are? or i dont understand you (by you i obviously mean myself) but life is about learning hpw we work. learning to uderstand your self and learning that no matter what wee moinor things change there is always going to be soemthing that stays the same. so inconclusion i say that no one knows who they truely are until they change and learn from chnage.

Yea, I'd have to say it won't happen unil your late 20s or early 30s. It'll happen when you relize you aren't interested in the latest fads anymore and are comfortable in just being you.

Life is less about what you are yet to learn and more about what you already know. So yes I have found myself.
