I think we all find one or two actors/actresses that we are in "love" with. We secretly hope they wil fall for us and marry us. When we follow up on their love lives and see that they are engaged or that they just got married-we hope it will end up in a break-up or divorce. Celebrity marriages hardly ever work, and it makes us feel that there is still a chance for us!

It's either marriage, divorce, or dating. I'm with you, girl. It's terrible, for the people involved in the marriage and the people wanting to get involved with the marriage. Regular people have seen weddings, maybe not the most extravagant weddings, but then celebrities can have regular weddings to. When you want to wed, you try to find a really nice, scenic place to marry, don't you? Like, maybe in Cabo San Lucas or France. Then, you get together all of your family, friends, and acquaintences. You prepare or hire a team of gourmet chefs to cook for you. You set the date, buy the rings and dresses, get together some bridesmaids, a flower girl, ring bearer, and best men. In a couple of months, you get married! It's mostly the same with celebrities, except their wedding gets attention from like everywhere!

Why are people so crazy about media stars in the first place? Seems like a big waste of time to me.

I think the people who are crazy about stars getting married kind of see their dreams, or fantasies, go down the drain.
Mind you, I think most people couldn't care less when stars get married. (except for the paparazzi and the die-hard fans)

Because they r so crazy about them that cannot see anybody else being their life partner other then themselves. An unmarried star attracts more than married ones.

Those people are the ones who have no life and want so desperately to be married themselves. they also feel like they go through the marriage and divorce with the stars.

Because they are rich and famous, and yet their lives are more often than not less than perfect ... especially in the personal relationships arena.
Part of it is probably the strains and temptations of the fame and fortune. People--as petty as it seems--like to know that their lives aren't perfect. Makes them feel better about their own imperfect lives.

I don't think it's so much the marriage as it is the divorce that people are obsessed w/. When celebrities go through turmoil in front of the world it humanizes them. They are on our level at that point and people can more relate w/ them. Just my two cents!

I don't feel the majority of the population gives a rat's azz about celebrity weddings. It's just the media keeps shoveling this crap down our throats, on the magazine stands, on the TV, on the web, that they think we can't live without the celebrities.

Because then they can watch and find out when they cheat or get a divorce. Some people are somewhat lonely and bored so that is the only entertaiment they enjoy.
