You are in a hostage situation, with 12 other people and you have to choose one person to die in order to save the other 11, would you choose yourself, someone else or let everyone die?

depends what type of situation and what type of person you are for instance a 60 year old might let a 23 year old live this is like on a programme ive seen and its best to see what the other people have to say whethere theres anyone who wants to die. you might be rescued. Also it depends how they are going to be killed.

Been honest this all depends on what the actually situation is at the time, you cant really answer this until you are in it.
I would choose myself if it was like me or a kiddie, but then again i would consider both and probably not choose myself if it was me or someone in they 80s. Having saying that many people there would have an opinion so it is impossible to say what i would do.

Depending on my age at the time. I would ask anyone if they wanted to volunter. Right know I have children so Im Not sure I don't think anyone knows what they would do till the time comes. I do know I would not I repeat I woud not let everyone die.

I would NOT choose myself,it would only ruin the whole live and stay alive thing. I'd probably let someone else die, someone that is useless.

you really can't offer a hypothetical on that until you are faced, God forbid with the situtation. My personal choice would be too use what ever means I could to overpower the hostage taker first with the only loss of life being his.

I think I would pray that a miracle happens or that one of the hostages stepped forward to be the "one"

Obviously you would have to choose yourself. I don't think anyone could live with one persons death on their conscience never mind 12.

For my self I like to think I would give my life but as a christian that's whats expected of me. but as I have found out you cant know what you will do until faced with a situation what ever you say or think you will do before hand that is if one is honest with ones self. yours in J. C. p.w.l.
