I'm in Canada and there is snow on the ground and it's about -12 outside. Do you think it would be alright to change the water in my out door hot tub. I would have to run the hose to the street and then fill it back up again. Please help! Thanks everyone.

If you run the hose to the street, it would be sure to make ice somewhere. Would this be a problem? Could someone get hurt by the ice slick? If it's not a problem, then go ahead and do it. But fill up your hot tub and start running it as soon as you can, because you don't want any residual water trapped in the pump and plumbing to freeze.

I'm in Southern California and don't have freezing weather to contend with. But when I empty my hot tub, I drain it into a cleanout for my drain pipe to the sewer. You probably have one too, located just outside the house near the bathroom or kitchen. Unfortunately, it may be covered with snow. Look for it next summer.

If your using a pump to drain and a hose to fill I think you'll be OK. With the pressure you'll have in your hose I don't think it would freeze on you. Good luck my friend! I go to a town called "Chibougamau" fishing!!! love your country, beautiful.
