no i don't think that the institution of marriage will ever go away, but I'm sure it will evolve, like it seems to be doing now. Marriage now days is becoming more disposable, being that the divorce rate is over 50% in the united states alone. Its not like it was back in the 50's where if a person were to divorce, the woman would be seen as "used goods" and be shunned for being divorced, Now, its not all that uncommon to see divorced women/men, its almost like its a normal thing. I'm divorced, not just because i felt the marriage was disposable, but it was abusive and harmful, i had to divorce to survive. I feel it will just keep evolving with society, but never go away.

I think the institution of marriage will see the end of my life, about 30 years before I should be dying.

I don't think marriage will ever end. Marriage was instituted by God, and I think if it's somthing that God creates will last forever. Although society is trying to get rid of it or redefine it.
Hope that this helps.

Probably not, but it is going that way. 2006 was the first year that we had more single people then married couples (51% - 49%) in the United States.

hmm maybe not in our lifetimes but later. seems like more and more people either choose to remain single or married and then separate. Does not appear to be important to some.

never.marriage will always be on the come back trail, for I believe that most people want a good marriage and want to love one person and be loved by one person. These things will depend on how we raise our kids today.
