If you have a 360 you could play The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion most dev a VERY beautiful environment and isn't very bloody also is a very long game and free-roam so you can do whatever you want for as long as you want.

Jack and Daxter: The Precursors Legacy from Naughty Dog
I played it on Playstation. It's not bloody, happens on an island, perhaps it has what you're looking for. Jak 2, Jak 3 and Jak X are also very good, but the element of nature is not what is was in the first part. They're still not bloody, but there are parts that the games become some sort of First Person Shooter. You just shoots the bad guys, but they just fall down, they don't spill blood.
Hope you enjoy it. I certainly did.

I've played Far Cry, it has a free demo too. It takes place on a tropical island. It's kind of fun, not too bloody.
