I looking for some suggestions for a V-day gift for my wife thats not to expensive. We have been on a tough stretch over the past 2 years. We had our 2nd son 2 years ago and she has had a hard time adjusting. I do about half of the house work each day. Would like to do something special but dont have many $$ to spend. We have 2 babies so any trip would be pretty tough. any ideas?

first of all a VDay gift should never be material. and second, Valentine's day is the celebration of LOVE FOR EVERYONE....that includes your children specially.
why not get a nice Valentines day cake, sodas, colorful hershey kisses/ m&m's....sit at the dinner table for a nice time, conversation and sharing.....and celebrating the love you all have for each other.
I do this every year with my parents and my daughter.

Leave the kids with a relative overnight seeing how Valentines day is during the week celebrate it on the weekend prior.Take her out for a romantic dinner and Give her a rose a card and a box of chocolates..

for my wife on valentines, when i could not afford much, i got my in laws to look after the kids for the night, made a special dinner for the two of us, which we shared later in the evening then prepared a bubble bath for her, and as she soaked and relaxed shared a bottle of wine with it. then after i dried her off, gave her a loving tender massage. she had smile on her face for days after-wards when ever she paused and thought about it
