Lost power one day, phone and all. Now when trying to get on the net thru explorer, page comes up: "This page cant be displayed."
What is the steps and settings necessary to get it right. I have tryed to restore to earlier dates but with no success. Help.

Do you still have a power outage? If so you can't expect to have the cable internet working if the high speed modem can't power up.
Secondly, is the power outage limited to your home or the area??????

to get online with a cable connection you need a cable modem and a cable ISP service. I use Time Warrner for both. the cable ISP will uaslly give you a modem
