Organic fertilizers are more environment-friendly. They contain no chemicals, which can percolate into the soil and contaminate the aquifers or release harmful vapours into the atmosphere.

Use of organic fertilizers promote sustainability, both for the environment and for humans. Such fertilizers will enhance the soil quality, leading to many generations of healthy growing for farmers...every year as more organic matter/ fertilizer is added the soil improves. But, when synthetic chemical fertilizers are used the soil health will not be maintained for very long; salt deposits which are harmful to plant growth may eventually cause farming in that area to be difficult. Often farmers are forced to simply clear more land, when using chemicals, rather than maintain the original field. When more land is cleared, as is occuring in the Amazon rainforest and many other places, the overall health of the planet becomes compromised because these rich indigenous plant environments function like lungs for the planet, removing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. When the forests are gone, humans will soon follow...

Sorry to ramble...but it's true, some people don't know these things...

Because there is already enough chemistry being pumped into our soil as it is. The earth and the soil is sick enough as it is from us humans, so why make it even sicker?! Using as much organic stuff as possible is better than using chemistry all the time! Wouldn't you or anybody else agree with that?!
