Since there is a shift internationally, back towards building nuclear power plants, and since India is rich in thorium, it's going to be playing a major role in economic development into the next 50 years or so. I would suggest going into an area where you can look ahead to a real future, and also being able to do something great for your country, and for humanity. Maybe nuclear medicine, development of new isotopes, applications of that to biology, engineering etc. Now, obviously, some of this requires some math. It just might be worth it!

For more ideas in the field of biology, you might search for "optical biophysics" on your search engine. Fascinating areas of research! Also, you may want to look up the work of V.I. Vernadsky, a great Russian scientist.

If you're interested in an advanced degree, English, journalism, sociology, history (the traditional "liberal arts") require little or no math. I had no math for an undergraduate degree in Journalism, only statistics for a Master's in Sociology, then no math for a law degree.
