This is my hypothesis but actually happening in Iraq. Day one...we are winning and the end looks near and even the Dems are optimistic. Day two......Iran delivers new weapons, bomb making supplies, encouragement and more troops to the insurgents causing coalition casualties and havoc. The American people start protesting and the Dems blame Bush.

Do you blame Bush or Iran?

For those who think that history disappeared when George Bush took office, here's a gentle reminder:

The UN took control of the situation in Iraq from 1991 to 2003.

Bang up job.

180,000 Kurds were slaughtered, the Ma'dan were systematically forced into exile, the Oil For Food Program was systematically circumvented by UN reps accepting bribes, Saddam continued his weapons programs, and the UN became involved in the largest international scandal in its history.

Add to that the transfer of almost all remaining WMD's and equipment into Syria RIGHT UNDER THEIR NOSES!

The UN is one of the greatest threats to mankind. (Vindication my a $$!)

I blame politicians in general! Not one side or the other. Then I blame the American people, a government for the people by the people. If America as a whole wants the military out of Iraq, call, write, or e-mail your Congressman or Senator. Don’t just yell to the winds; yell at some one who can make a difference. We as a military are still doing great things in Iraq, every day… but we are still loosing Soldiers, Marines, Airmen, and Sailors. The enemy over her is very resourceful and resilient. They are supported from sides that can not be determined. So we do not always know who the enemy is, its hard to end a war when you don’t know who you are fighting. (And as long as Americans are dying over here it is still war) So make some noise!!!! Let people know where you stand, if you want us out tell some one who can do that, otherwise, please support the troops that fight because we promised we would and our government said go. Oh yea, I am a Soldier in Iraq, willingly with all my heart.

I blame George Bush and the United Nations for not settle this in 1991 when there existed the best chance for bring democracy too Iraq and the necessary force to stabilize the country.

I blame the UN for forcing Saddam Hussein to sign a ceasefire agreement but not holding him to the agreement for 11 years.

I blame China, Russia, and the EU, for violating the treaty and trying to trade with Iraq under Saddam.

I blame Clinton, for allowing Saddam to violate the UN accords, and doing nothing for 8 years as people took action against the US.

I blame George W. Bush for not winning the war before we sending troops to fight it.

I blame Congress, for lack of responsibility, and commitment to a cause that they approved.

I blame Activist, and News organizations for making the war in a Iraq a O.J. Simpson/Jerry Springer style soap opera.

I blame the Democrats for having 8 years of doing nothing, then when they decide to do something and show some backbone and when it does not work out as planned then they choose to forget that they had I deciding vote in the matter and seek to play the pin the blame on someone else game.

But most of all I blame the Americans who are lacking in worldly knowledge, lazy, or ignorant to the fact that their are people out in the world trying to kill them just because they were born American.

I am not sure that it is that simple because you have left out that we are not allowed to do what is necessary over there in order to win (although I hear from my friends that is changing). You have not mentioned the News Sources that have not been completely accurate (On all side of the issue). You have not mentioned the hate taught to their children that will no let them grow in our global environment. Iran & Syria have been there all along with reinforcements of all kinds. Americans have always protested everything and I hope always will as that is our right to do so...it would be nice if they were doing it based on facts and not the rethoric of anti-American groups with deeper agenda's. People take to many things for whats on the surface and don't look into the facts, so for years it has been going on but no one cares. "All evil needs to survive is for good men to stand and do nothing!" There is a cost & effoert to doing whats right in this world!

What blame do the Iraqi people themselves deserve? All the blame in my opinion. Shiites and Sunni are fighting a religious inter-tribal war against each other. They lived together while one side (Saddam) held all the power and put a check on their long standing religious war. Given "freedom" they revert to killing each other. It will stop when one side again holds the other in check. Then some time in the future it will start again. It will never end.

Blame neither, blame the American political system for not allowing the military to do their jobs as seen fit. If they were allowed to do their jobs and not have to worry about the backlash of American outcry, we would already be done and back home.

The Cowards who don't have the balls to see this conflict through... Oooops, this is in no way an insult to the women in congress or their follow pansies... What gets me is, we are always told: Remember the Alamo, Remember the Maine, Pearl Harbor, a day that will live in infamy. Most recently. we had 9/11 everyone became patriotic, now that we got our nose a little bloody, these same patriots want to call it quits??? Sounds more like Treason to me...

i blame the media and the dems - only bad news and the minute the dems hear it - all they say is we have to get out. I bet if the dems were in power they wouldn't unilaterally pull out and abandon Iraq...which is what the enemies are waiting for.
